However, regarding the authorization to create and use email accounts at this site, I would suggest you to limit this facility ONLY TO current IET students and faculty members. Institutional websites all over the world offer email accounts to their members only. And any correspondence done using the institutional email acc confirms the ID of the user. Infact when current IET students make an account, you should confirm their ID officially. Besides, there are a lot of benefits of having such an institutional email acc.
When applying for jobs or training, mails sent from this ID will get better attention, with respect to gmail or yahoo mails. Even your faculty members can use this mail service to send online recommendations on your behalf, which are not accepted if sent using commercial mail services like gmail or yahoo or hotmail (as who can confirm the ID of their users?). Besides, almost ALL of the foreign universities demand ONLINE recommendations for applications for post graduate programs, which are accepted only if sent from institutional email accounts.
