Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme

It’s a matter of pleasure that our Institute has been selected for Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP-III) by MHRD. Under this Scheme MHRD will Provide a handsome Grant of Rs. 10 Crore to the Institute. This fund will be utilized for strengthening the infrastructure and teaching learning resources of the Institute.

Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme of Government of India (TEQIP) is being implemented as a World Bank assisted Project to improve the quality of technical education system in the country. TEQIP was conceived in pursuance of the National Policy on Education 1986 with a Goal to scale-up and improve quality of technical education and enhance existing capacities of the Institutions to become dynamic, demand driven, quality conscious, efficient and forward looking, responsive to rapid economic and technological developments occurring both at national and International levels. The broad objectives of the programmes are as follows:

  • To create an environment in which Engineering Institutions selected under the programme can achieve their own set targets for excellence and sustain the same with autonomy and accountability.
  • To support development plans including synergistic Networking and Services to Community and economy of competitively selected Institutions for achieving higher standards.
  • To improve efficiency and effectiveness of the technical education management system in the states and Institutions selected under the Programme.

we have some plan for future as follows:

  • To get accreditation for existing technical courses by NBA.
  • To establish a Skill Development Center for the welfare of Society and better utilization of our resources.
  • To Start new UG & PG programs.
  • Developing state-of-the-art center facilities e.g., computer center, library and data center, etc.
  • To achieve better academic standards through accreditation.
  • Mentoring & twinning arrangement activities.
